You spend a certain amount of money each month when buying things. Sometimes its on food, other times its on clothing, or something for a gift. No matter what, we will always be spending money to buy things. Wouldnt it be great to be able to save on almost everything you buy and still get the same product but put that savings away? Here are some tips to help you save when you want to buy something.

Always look for coupons. Just by spending a few seconds looking for a coupon, you could save an extra 5%, 10%, or even more on the item you were going to buy anyway. It only takes a few seconds to look, and you can find them in circulars, coupon packs you get in the mail, and even online.

Comparison shop. Before buying something, check out a few different stores or web sites to make sure youre getting the best price. Sometimes a store just down the street can have the exact same item at a lot lower of a price.

If you know youre going to need to buy something, keep an eye out ahead of time. For example, if you know you need to buy a gift 3 months from now, start looking now so you wont be stuck buying something more expensive because you need it for that day. Sometimes the item you want might be on sale before then and you can save a lot of money.

Ask for a lower price. Of course this wont work on everything, but this works well, especially for bigger ticket items. Sometimes they want to move a product (like a car or a kitchen appliance), so they are willing to negotiate and accept a lower price. It cant hurt, since the worst they can say is no, and just that one question could end up saving you hundreds of dollars.

Look for sales. Almost everything eventually goes on sale, so what you see and want now for full price could easily be marked 20%, 50%, or even 80% off in just a short while.

There are many other ways to spend less when you want to buy something. Its almost always worth taking a little bit of time to see how you can save on everything you buy, since the less you spend, the more you can save.

Many credit counseling groups claim they are in it just to help you and not make a profit as indicated by their charitable organization status. The IRS is not happy.

IRS Crushes Credit Counseling Groups Claiming Non-Profit Status

For the last five years, the IRS has been taking a much closer look at businesses claiming to be non-profit organizations. Given the reduction of tax loopholes over the years, the agency has taken note of the fact that many high-end tax strategies now involve some kind of charitable organization. In performing the analysis, the IRS has found no worse a collection of abusive businesses than the credit counseling industry.

Beginning in 2004, the IRS audited 63 credit counseling groups claiming non-profit status. These charitable organizations receive over fifty percent of all the revenues in the credit counseling industry, to wit, we are talking a major audit initiative. Well, guess what the IRS found?

To date, the IRS has completed 41 of the audits. Of these 41 audits, every single credit counseling business has had their non-profit status revoked, proposed for revocation or outright termination. Yes, every single entity has bitten the dust! Can anyone think of a bigger scam?

In crushing these bad apples, the IRS found a couple of amazing things. The primary reason for revocation was the groups provided insufficient public benefit. They offered little or no counseling or education to individuals. Instead, they were primarily motivated by profit according to the IRS. To top things off, the IRS found most of the businesses had unique dealings with for profit companies that just happened to be owned by the same interested parties. Imagine that! Shocking, I tell you.

It must be admitted that these rotten apples only represent roughly forty to fifty percent of the credit counseling industry. The rest of the industry that has not been audited might be entirely legitimate. The IRS does not seem to think so. In fact, it has sent out audit notices to every single company that has not yet been audited. I suspect the blood bath is just going to get worse.

In truth, not all credit counseling agencies are dubiously claiming non-profit status. The IRS, in fact, has noted it approved a whopping three applications for non-profit status out of 100 since 2003! Unfortunately, the IRS hasnt indicated the identity of the three.

Canada and the United States share similar cultures, enthusiasm for sports and a common border.

Unfortunately, the border is proving to be no barrier to fraud schemes that target victims in both countries. Armed with the Internet and cell phones, con artists target victims-many of them older Americans-in these cross-border schemes. Using false names and electronic tricks, they hide who and where they really are.

The good news is that the U.S. Postal Inspection Service is working with Canadian law enforcement to stop these crimes. Prevention, however, is still the best medicine. Chief Postal Inspector L.R. Heath encourages consumers to protect themselves by following these tips:

• Be wary of anything that promises large sums of money, such as sweepstakes or lottery winnings, in exchange for your advance payment, donation or investment.

• Don’t be pressured into making a decision about an offer. Check it out first.

• Be cautious about businesses that try to conceal their mailing addresses and phone numbers, and evade questions about their operations.

• Be aware that if you respond to even one of these “offers,” your name will be added to a “mooch” list by these criminals. These are contact lists, similar to those used by legitimate businesses, that track people who have fallen for scams in the past. They are bought and sold by these criminal enterprises and you can count on being targeted again.

The Postal Service’s Consumer Advocate Delores J. Killette said, “Older Americans need to be educated to avoid becoming victims of consumer fraud and convinced that it’s okay to say ‘no’ to solicitations. But their children, many of whom are baby boomers, also need to play a role. They need to keep an eye on elderly parents and grandparents to protect them from scammers. Fighting fraud truly is a family matter.” Educated families are the best defense against these fraudsters-if they recognize the warning signs.

The pre-Christmas period is the peak time of the year for retail sales, and many department and other stores depend on a successful Christmas for their annual profits. There is another side to that coin: the same period is also the peak time for consumer spending. A surge in consumer spending often means a jump in borrowing to support that spending in the stores.

Even people who might normally be very careful with their finances, may feel some pressure to overspend at and before Christmas. A combination of peer pressure, the desire to please the children and other members of the family, and the sheer desire to have a great Christmas, may tip the normally frugal into being a bit careless with their spending.

An excess of borrowing can mean later problems for those consumers who really do let their finances get out of hand, and every year tens of thousands of people do. For many, the spectre of debt hangs over their Christmas festivities and spoils the party even before they have sat down and fully assessed the damage caused by the pre-Christmas excesses.

Between Christmas and New Year is a good time for home budgeting, looking ahead to the next year and plotting the best route to make it a happy year. When it comes to your finances, and debt in particular, then the last week of the year is a particularly opportunity to plan, and set a home budget.

How To Budget For The Year Ahead

What you have spent over Christmas, whether on credit or out of savings, is a matter of fact. What you already had in outstanding credit and overdue credit, is also a matter of fact. It is important to treat those facts as such, and keep a detached view as you write down your current financial situation. It is all to easy for personal finances to become overbearing because of emotional pressure you may place on yourself.

When planning your budget, start by making a list of all your outstanding debts, who they are owed to, and how much you need to budget each month to keep up with the payments. Always remember that if you fall behind with payments, your financial situation will deteriorate, as costs, penalties and interest charges mount up. As you list your monthly credit payments, use them as the starting point for your monthly outgoings. It is also worthwhile keeping the list of actual amounts owing at the start of the year, and then see if that figure can be reduced by the end of the year. That way you can monitor progress, just as a business would. You want to see your net assets going up, not down, at the end of your budget period.

Next, list out your unavoidable and essential monthly payments in order of importance, with any state and local government payments, such as taxes, at the top. Then will come your mortgage or rent, and other necessities such as electricity, telephone, gas, food and household expenses.

At this stage, work out a sub-total of all the above items, which will be your priority monthly payments. Now is a good time to compare the total you already have with your net monthly income. If they are in balance, then you can make your payments each month, but not have any flexibility or cash for non-essentials and luxuries.

Hopefully, though, you will have a surplus each month which you can use for desirables and for savings to set aside for any unexpected expenses.

You can then add to your monthly budget by listing those desirables you want to spend money on and how much. You should also aim to build in savings to your budget. Bear in mind all the time that if you spend on consumables, your personal assets go down. If you save, they go up.

If your spending has really gone over the top of your capabilities to repay on time, then you need to use the budget plan you have come up with as a starting point for seeking debt counseling, or for consolidating some or all of your debts. The important thing, though, whatever the outcome of your home budget exercise, is to keep calm and detached. Discuss with your partner and family all the steps you need to take to get your home finances in order after an extravagant Christmas, and then do your best to carry through your budget plan, preferably setting aside savings along the way to prepare for an interest free Christmas the following year.

With health care costs continuing to increase, the future of Social Security unclear and pension plans available to fewer and fewer workers, America’s retirement readiness is a major concern for both individuals and the nation as a whole.

Since June 2004, Fidelity Investments has completed about 200,000 income plans for retirees and pre-retirees who faced the daunting task of gauging their preparedness for retirement. Fidelity learned that some simple, yet often ignored, investment strategies can help ensure a more comfortable retirement. Here are some basic strategies to consider.

* Make it work while you’re still working. Investors in their peak earning years should take full advantage of employer-sponsored retirement plans, individual retirement accounts and deferred annuities.

Asset allocation should be age appropriate and investors should avoid two common retirement savings mistakes: being overly cautious or taking excessive risks when deciding how much of their assets to invest in cash, stocks or bonds. Remember, though, that this does not ensure a profit or protect against a loss.

Individuals also may want to take into account simple tradeoffs that can reduce expenses and increase savings, such as holding on to the family car a few extra years once it has been paid off.

* Make it last as long as you do. Once you reach retirement, stretching retirement savings to make it last is very important. Some investors are planning to work in retirement while others are postponing retirement to take advantage of added income and continued health care benefits.

Pre-retirees may want to consider putting their salaries into income annuities, which some call “self-made pensions” because they provide guaranteed lifetime income.

Finally, given that Americans are living longer, and that market returns are unpredictable, smaller withdrawals in the early years of retirement could lead to greater long-term financial security.

* Make it count to live the lifestyle you want. Typically, investors who are able to achieve the retirement lifestyle they want have created a detailed, realistic budget for retirement living expenses. Investors should plan for rising health care costs and other financial contingencies. To help stay on track, individuals and their spouses should review their plans annually, including expenses, investments and asset allocation.

Creating a successful retirement takes more than a one-step solution. Whether it’s finding a “fun” part-time job, eliminating one of the family cars or taking a vacation locally, retirees have implemented multiple strategies to extend their incomes, control their spending and maximize their savings. – NU

Defining your savings goals is the first thing to do before you invest, especially when that investment will have an impact on your childs future.

It is after-all your childs future that you are investing in–and school finance cannot be avoided, as babies will grow into adults who need to be given the best opportunities we can offer as parents.

The best advice that any parent can get is to start saving early. College tuition fees can cause a strain on your family’s budget and lifestyle. You need to have a goal to keep you motivated to save. And what better motivation is there than knowing that the money you save will finance your child’s education.

Normally the best stage to start saving for your childs finance towards college tuition is at birth. If, however, you have not started, then the time to start saving is now. It is never too late to start saving.

The sooner you start saving, the more time therell be for compound interest to build up into a nice college fund for your child. Remember that each child should get his or her school finance savings fund.

You also need to decide the amount you intend to save by the time that your child reaches college age. There are many options available for you to choose from when it dollar amount. This means that you calculate the projected cost of public college tuition by the time your child is ready for college.

The other commonly used method, which many parents prefer, involves devoting a fixed percentage of income to their child’s future college costs. The idea is this: whatever you do, you have to have a defined goal. You should save as much as you can, whether it be a large amount, like several hundred dollars a month or a more modest amount, such as $25 to $50 each month.

A college education is an investment in the future of your child. If you truly want to see your child succeed, as all parents do, what could possibly be a better investment?

Many first time investors think that they should invest all of their savings. This isnt necessarily true. To determine how much money you should invest, you must first determine how much you actually can afford to invest, and what your financial goals are.

First, lets take a look at how much money you can currently afford to invest. Do you have savings that you can use? If so, great! However, you dont want to cut yourself short when you tie your money up in an investment. What were your savings originally for?

It is important to keep three to six months of living expenses in a readily accessible savings account dont invest that money! Dont invest any money that you may need to lay your hands on in a hurry in the future.

So, begin by determining how much of your savings should remain in your savings account, and how much can be used for investments. Unless you have funds from another source, such as an inheritance that youve recently received, this will probably be all that you currently have to invest.

Next, determine how much you can add to your investments in the future. If you are employed, you will continue to receive an income, and you can plan to use a portion of that income to build your investment portfolio over time. Speak with a qualified financial planner to set up a budget and determine how much of your future income you will be able to invest.

With the help of a financial planner, you can be sure that you are not investing more than you should or less than you should in order to reach your investment goals.

For many types of investments, a certain initial investment amount will be required. Hopefully, youve done your research, and you have found an investment that will prove to be sound. If this is the case, you probably already know what the required initial investment is.

If the money that you have available for investments does not meet the required initial investment, you may have to look at other investments. Never borrow money to invest, and never use money that you have not set aside for investing!

You have found the right one! My Forex Strategy have prove to pay a return of 40-100% per month for more then two years now. I have decided to open up for new managed forex accounts.

Don’t you feel safe about transferring all your savings to a stranger?

Most Forex program required you to transfer the money you want to have traded the their account. In this way you don’t have much control over your money and you have to trust the Forex managers to pay you the profit. Most of the time you don’t see your money again.

I don’t ask you to send any money to me at all! My Forex Managed Program works different, You set up your own account with any MT4 broker and give me access to trade the account. By the end of the month you pay me the profit. Yes that’s correct. You are the one with the control over the money. You never have to trust a Forex manager again for getting your profit. Since the money is in your account I can not take out any of the money!

What is your trading strategy and how does it work?

I use a combination of a break-out system and a intra-day trading system to getting the results. Part of the system is running on an EA (automated forex trading program) and part is manually trading. You can not buy the EA, and I never put it up for sale.

Instant approval credit cards are those that generally do not require special requirements to be met in order to receive membership to the card. Often, these cards can be applied for, and approved, entirely online. There are many advantages to instant approval credit cards online that make them particularly attractive to many consumers.

An instant approval credit card online application is simple to complete. All of the necessary information required by the credit card company can simply and easily be placed into the online application form. Thanks to cookies, which saves information to your computer, much of the information can probably be added with the click of a button. Nothing could be simpler! With instant approval credit cards, there is no need to prove employment status and wait for it to be verified. There generally is no need to have a bank account. In addition, most instant approval credit cards do not even look at credit history in order to approve membership.

Many instant approval credit cards are secured credit cards. Secured credit cards are cards that the cardholder supplies money ahead of time to the card. These cards do not actually extend a line of credit to the cardholder. Instead, they allow the cardholder to access his or her own money with the ease of a credit card.

Secured instant approval credit cards provide a win-win situation for the cardholder as well as for the credit card company. The credit card company is happy because there is no concern about the cardholder borrowing money and failing to pay it back. Because the card is secured with the cardholder’s own money, there is no need to perform a credit check or enforce stringent approval requirements.

This is part of the reason credit cardholders enjoy applying for secured instant approval credit cards. There are no hassles and no worries about being denied approval because of poor credit. In addition, secured instant approval credit cards help the cardholder remain in control of his or her finances because he or she plans ahead of time how much money will be placed on the credit card. Paying toward the card ahead of time also ensures the cardholder will not build up a debt that is impossible to overcome.

There are also unsecured instant approval cards available to consumers. Some consumers are not interested in secured cards because there are many fees associated with these cards. Fees such as application fees, processing fees, annual fees, and monthly membership fees are commonly found with secured credit cards. In addition, there is generally a fee assessed each time the cardholder places more money on the card, which is referred to as “loading” the card. In addition, some people are not interested in secured credit cards because they are seeking a card that will provide a loan that they can pay back at a later date.

Unsecured instant approval credit cards are not as common as those that are secured, but they are available. These cards often do check an applicant’s credit history, but they are capable of completing this process quickly and efficiently, which allows them to still provide instant approval. Sometimes, these credit cards will only approve a small line of credit until they have had the opportunity to perform a more extensive credit check. After a few months of membership, instant approval credit cards following this practice will then extend an offer to the cardholder to increase the line of credit.

Instant approval credit cards are a convenient means for applicants to gain access to a wide array of credit cards, including business credit cards, cash back credit cards, and reward credit cards. Through the ease of online applications, the process could never be simpler!
